Zhuge Liang was ordered to defend an important city (during the Three Kingdoms period). However, he did not have a strong force. So when the enemy came to attack, Zhuge ordered his soldiers to leave all city gates opened, and hide within the city. Zhuge, however, sat above the main guess, and played his 7-string-zither so very composedly. The attacking army suspected a trick, an ambush, and was too scared to attack. So Zhuge defended his city without even a fight.
